Oranges, arancini, water-ices, ice-cream, cannoli (a Sicilian pastry with a sweet filling) and cassate (kind of Sicilian cake). It's the gastronomic tour for those who spend their holiday in Sicily. From Palermo to Catane there are a lot of tastes, smells and colours. Seven days are enough to visit the most beautiful cities.
When you arrived in Palermo you must to stop in a shop near Massimo theatre to taste a Sicilian pastry with a sweet filling such as cannolo. You must visit the Politeama theatre, Rome street, the Cathedral and all the churches of Vittorio Emanuele street, the Norman Palace and Palatine Chapel, Quattro Canti and Marina square with Garibaldi Garden.
Once visit Palermo you can visit Monreale (the cathedral), Marsala (such as type of Sicilian wine) and Erice. Near Enna there is Piazza Armerina.
Noto, Unesco property, is very beautiful. You need to visit the whole city, a really work of art. You have to see Syracuse, the Roman amphitheatre, the Orecchio di Dionisio and the church of Madonna delle Lacrime. In Agrigento is possible to visit the Valley of the Temples, Unesco property.
Catane is very nice. Walking through the city you have to stop at a bar to eat a kind of Sicilian cake such as Saint Agata's cassatelle. You must make an excursion to Etna and visit craters, the store of honey and lava stones. At the end you have to visit Taormina.
